INTERCESSIONS FOR EASTER SUNDAY 15th APRIL

Go to Maundy Thursday Intercessions

The joys of Easter would not be possible without our Priests who minister to us, and give the Sacraments to us, we are very grateful to Father Alex, Father Tom and Father Charles.

Let us pray they may continue to serve us with love and devotion, and that we may support them in every way we can, so we can all share and spread the Easter Message.

(Pause) “LORD IN YOUR MERCY”

In the New Testament Reading St Paul tells the Romans that they should be dead to sin, but alive for God in Christ Jesus.

Let us pray that we will do all we can to put aside those attitudes and feelings which hold us back from living a Christian life, particularly those which hurt other people.

(Pause) “LORD IN YOUR MERCY”

The drama of Jesus’ death and resurrection took place in Jerusalem ,at a time of dissension and civil unrest. It doesn’t seem much different for Jerusalem today.

Let us pray that peace may come to this troubled city, and that Muslim, Jew and Christian may learn to live in harmony.

(Pause) “LORD IN YOUR MERCY”

There are people will not be celebrating this weekend, those who are poor, those who are sick, those in prison, all those affected by the Foot and Mouth Epidemic -and many others.

Let us pray that those who cannot celebrate today will receive the love and peace of God, and that we will give our support in any way we can to those who are suffering.

(Pause) “LORD IN YOUR MERCY”

Many people will be travelling over the Easter Holidays, on the roads, by rail or by air.

Let us pray that we ourselves will have concern for other travellers, and do all we can to avoid accidents. We also pray for the emergency services who undertake such crucial and difficult tasks.

(Pause) “LORD IN YOUR MERCY”

Let us ask our Blessed Lady to pray for us - Hail Mary

Let us pray for our own needs in silence.
