INTERCESSIONS for Midnight Mass
Priest : As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, let us ask Him to listen to our petitions.
Reader :
Now we celebrate the birth of a baby boy over 2000 years ago.
Let us pray that we will follow the way of the shepherds, who glorified and praised God - so that we praise God in our hearts, with our voices and in how we behave to other people.
Lord in your Mercy......................
Isaiah writes in the First Reading - "The people that walked in darkness has seen a great light".
Let us pray that we will be able to see that light and let it shine out in our lives.
Lord in your Mercy .......................
As we enjoy Christmas with friends and family, let us remember those who may not have such a good time, through illness, poverty, or unhappy relationships.
Let us pray that the Joy of Christmas may lighten people's hearts, and that those who are sick are comforted, especially Father Tom in Wealdstone, and that we do all we can to help those in need.
Lord in your Mercy .......................
Our Parish is blessed with a large body of people who work in various ways to let God's Light shine, and use their talents to spread the Good News, and we thank God for them.
Let us pray that people enjoy supporting and helping the church, and that we encourage new people to join our various groups.
Lord in your Mercy .......................
Let us remember the men and women who help us celebrate Christmas, our priests and nuns.
Let us pray that all our church leaders and especially Father Alex, Father Charles and Sister Josephine will be able to help us celebrate a Joyful and Peaceful Christmas.
Lord in your Mercy .......................
Let us ask Our Lady to pray for us - HAIL MARY .....................
Let us pray for our own needs in silence.
Priest : Lord, we pray that you will grant our prayers in the name of Jesus who brings light and hope to the world.
