We pray for Pope John Paul and for Mervyn our Bishop that they may lead our Church in fidelity to the Gospel of Christ the head of the Church, Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
For the unity of the church throughout the world and the holiness of all who have been baptised, Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
For the community of faith, that we be freed from the darkness of sin and be made holy by Christ, Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
That this Holy Season of Lent may be a time of renewal and result in our appreciating those things which have real and lasting value, Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We pray for the people of Mozambique and Madagascar who are suffering from the effects of severe floods and storms, Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We pray for the sick especially for Tony Grove and Mark Chaplin, that God may pour out his love on them, Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
For those who have died in Christ, that they may enjoy the happiness of God’s Kingdom, Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Heavenly Father, your Son was tempted as we are. Support us in time of temptation, give us strength in our weakness and help us to do your will in all things. We make our prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.
