Intercessions for 3rd Sunday of Easter (Year B)
Priest:
Confident in God’s loving mercy, we now offer our prayers to Him for the needs of others and for ourselves.
Reader:
We pray for the people of Jerusalem and the Middle East, the first to pay witness to the Word of God, may the light of Christ restore peace to this troubled land.
Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We pray for all who believe in Jesus, may the same awe and wonder with which the Early Church witnessed His resurrection remain as fresh in our lives today as it was 2,000 years ago.
Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We pray for those who have not found Christ and may struggle either in mind or body for meaning in their lives, especially those isolated from others in society.
Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We pray for all young people, especially those returning to Colleges and University after the Easter holidays, may the Church of God remain relevant in their hearts.
Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We pray for members of our Faith and Light community and those who look after them, may they continue to inspire us with their love of God and their approach to life.
Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
As we enter the month of May, dedicated to Our Lady, we ask her to pray for us as we say Hail Mary…
We now pray silently for our own private intentions.
Priest:
Lord God, we thank you for the gift of your Son, and ask you to listen to the prayers we make this day, through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.
