Intercessions for the 3rd Sunday of Advent (cycle B)

Priest:

We turn to God in prayer and ask him for all of our needs.

Reader:

Father, as we wait and prepare joyfully for the coming of your Son, may we sing your praise not only with our lips but also in our lives. Lord in your mercy, Hear our prayer

Father, for prisoners and captives wherever they may be, help them to know your justice, your mercy and your infinite love. Lord in your mercy, Hear our prayer

Father, for widows, the lonely and those who suffer from any form of mental illness, keep them safe and free them from all anxiety. Lord in your mercy, Hear our prayer

Father, for the dying and the recently dead, welcome them into your kingdom and comfort those who mourn. Lord in your mercy, Hear our prayer

May Our Lady, the Immaculate, intercede for us as we say Hail Mary…

In the silence of our hearts, let us pray for our own intentions
