pray for countries that are suffering the dark days of war,
that they will stop fighting
and make peace with one another.

pray for all those who are finding life difficult;
may the love and kindness of their families and friends
be a ray of hope in their darkness.

pray for the sick and disabled
and especially for those who cannot see,
that the inner light of God’s love
may shine in them.

pray for all mothers:
may the Lord enlighten them and bless them,
especially during difficult times.

We
pray for ourselves;
that we may become children of light,
living in goodness and truth
and lighting the way for others.
(Pause) Lord, in your mercy. – Hear our prayer.
Let
us ask Mary, the Mother of Jesus, to pray with us as we say -
Hail Mary.
Now
we pray for a while in silence.
Priest:
Heavenly
Father, hear these prayers and the prayers of our hearts
and grant what we need, through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.
