INTERCESSIONS FOR 4th SUNDAY OF EASTER YEAR A
Priest:
This Eastertide let us pray
to our Risen Christ.
Reader:
St Peter tells us in the
first reading that through Jesus’ wounds we have been healed.
Let us pray that we never forget that we are healed, and try to help others who
may need healing.
(Pause) Lord, in your
mercy: Hear our prayer.
In the Gospel, Jesus says
he came to give us life so we can have it to the full.
Let us pray that his life will enrich our lives, and those whom
we encounter.
(Pause) Lord, in your

Today is Vocations Sunday.
Let us pray for more people to come forward for the Priesthood and Religious
Life.
(Pause) Lord, in your
mercy: Hear our prayer.
On Thursday the Thornbury
Music Ministry will be presenting “My Beloved Son”.
Let us pray that this Ecumenical Group will be well supported and that we help
them all we can.
(Pause) Lord, in your
mercy: Hear our prayer.
World leaders are
struggling to find an end to the conflict between Israel and Palestine.
Let us pray for humility on both sides and reconciliation and peace.
(Pause) Lord, in your
mercy: Hear our prayer.
Let us ask Our Blessed Lady
to pray for us all. - Hail Mary.
Let us pray for our own
intentions in silence.

Father, we pray to you in
the confident hope
that you will hear our petitions.
